Taking my blog in a new direction.......
In light of recent events I have decided to take my blog in a different direction. With each new entry I am going to discuss what would be considered a "mainstream" mothering idea. I think this is a good idea because most mom's use some AP and some mainstream and i hate that they have become segregated. Whatever happened to the days when all that mattered was if your child is happy? I know mine is!!!
I know a few read my blog so if you have any topic suggestions I am more than willing to listen!
I will start the first topic tomorrow............."is it independence of neglect"? Hehehe this is gonna be fun!

Damn and you were gonna be the focus of my blog! Actually I want to hear differing points of view so I want lots of comments!
I'm struggling with this right now. I actually started a thread asking for opinions on this subject yesterday. I am a "mainstream" mama I guess but I wanted to hear lots of different opinions on how to handle the independence vs. neglect issue. I'm so glad I did because I got lots of great ideas and reassurances from mothers with very different parenting styles. I know I for one appreciate having a board with many different parenting styles. I have learned so much.
I agree DJ!!!! I like how most of the board respects other's parenting styles. I just hope it stays that way!
I for one get so tired of hearing about this one having this parenting style and that one having another.
When I had Justin almost 4 years ago, that sure wasn't a focus at all. I have never heard so much about mainstream, AP, crunchy or whatever, since I have been a part of the BIO board.
Whatever happened to just taking care of your children, feeding, bathing, clothing, making them happy and loving them.
