The worst mother's day ever
I feel like such a failure as a mom today. So for mothers day I got a card from oscar and from lexi. He took me to target and told me to pick out my gift, umm I think I will pass.
So I feel like shit, oscar is now sick and I "though" that lexi was starting to feel better. Well if she is you wouldn't know it by how today went. She had her first MAJOR meltdown. Twice today when i put her in her high chair she pitched a fit and like usual wouldn't eat. At lunch I did manage to get her to eat some pineapple. She hardly drank any of her milk.
Dinner was another story. She pitched such a fit when I put her in her chair that she started crying and beating the back of her head against the hight chair. She ate NOTHING and drank only alittle of her milk. If this girl doesn't start eating soon i don't know what I am gonna do.
So I completely lost it tonight. I am feeling like shit and had no patience for it. So we gave her a bath, gave her the medicine and put her in her room while we ate dinner. I go in to check on her and she is playing on one of her toys and grins at me. yeah well let me just say it didn't make me warm and fuzzy. So then the balling started about 15 minutes later for no reason. So lexi wound up going to bed 45 minutes early. I just couldn't take it anymore.
So needless to say, this has been the worst mothers day.

Sorry it was so hard today. She's really testing her limits, but I have no doubt you will prevail. This will make every other Mother's Day look great, so you have that going for you ;)
I'm sorry hun. Like HG said, she's testing her limits. We're going through the same thing. Hang in there!!
Lexi sounds about as normal as they come these days. Don't take it personally!!!!!!! You might want to take her back to the ped. to make sure her antibiotic is working. The first time Jessica got an ear infection, she went through 3 different antibiotics before finding something that worked. Amoxicillan and Omnicef were failures. Augmentin seemed to do the trick though. Hang in there!!!!!!
I am actually taking her back to the doc tomorrow. She still has a fever after 4 days.
I'm so sorry she picked Mother's Day to do this to you. :( I hope the dr can help tomorrow. Like Alex said, it can only get better next year, right? But don't worry, it's not a reflection of your mothering at all, we all have these days, I had to go through similar fits at bath time and diaper change time a few days ago.
