Hip dysplasia baby gear
Now that I have come to grips with everything, I started looking for items that lexi could use while she is in the cast. We have a bean bag but I dont want her laying back constantly.
I found this high chair. This will enable us to sit her at the dining room table with some toys and maybe we can get her to actually use crayons it would be perfect. It cost 240 as we bought the cover for it as well.
Someone from my hip dysplasia group is going to give me this table and chair to use while she is in the cast. She is waiting for her doc to tell her that her daughter needs another surgery so I can use it as long as she doesnt need it for her daughter. We will put it in her playroom:
Finally, we found this car seat which is designed for spica cast. I wish they would have had this last year as I would have bought it then. Its $500 but hopefully our insurance company will reimburse us for a portion of it. We will be able to keep it till lexi is ready for a booster seat just in case she needs any further surgeries.
So I spent about $800 yesterday which doesnt make me happy but I will do whatever is necessary to make her more comfortable during this whole ordeal.

YOWZA! That stuff is 'spensive.
Sounds like you are all set. I wish that they would have had SOMETHING when Chayleigh had her surgery. Hope that the stuff comes in soon so you are all ready to go!
You are such a good mommy. Willing to do whatever it takes to make Lexi comfotable and happy. Sorry everything costs so much, but hopefully your insurance will reimburse you. HUGS.
